Montrae Mining was established in Broken Hill in 1981 as a family-orientated partnership business and began by delivering mining equipment to Broken Hill and Cobar. After moving the family to Albury, Montrae Mining started supplying and servicing mines in the Northern Territory with a facility in Darwin, which serviced mines with consumables, bit refurbishment and maintenance.
Montrae Mining started at Lake Cowal supplying consumables for their Atlas L8. Montrae Mining set up a facility supplying and servicing Barrick which had 9 Drill Rigs, providing them with Hammers, Drill Bits, Bit and Hammer Refurbishments and Reverse Cycle Consumables to sites 24 hours per day. A 6" Hammer was designed for this site and is achieved great results with over 20,000 meters recorded from a test hammer. Only the best from Montrae Mining!
